The Coordinator of NBRRI National Laboratory Complex<\/strong>, Ota, Ogun State, Dr. Chuka C Osadebe<\/strong><\/em> on 20th October 2022 led some members of NBRRI\u2019s management team in Ota on a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ado Odo-Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa.<\/div>\n

Playing host to the NBRRI delegates, Hon. Sherrif Adewale Musa, expressed great delight in having NBRRI team in his office and stated that it is more of a family visit because NBRRI is a household name in Ota. He also made mention of his great experience and warm welcome received when he paid a visit to NBRRI NLC, Ota and the tour he was conducted to by visiting various workshops and the Pozzolana plant.<\/div>\n

Still speaking, Hon Adewale prayed that there should be a synergy between the local government and NBRRI mainly using NBRRI\u2019s technology in the construction of legislative building and roads in the secretariat. This he explained will help to advertise NBRRI\u2019s products and create an avenue for them to showcase NBRRI\u2019s products like what NBRRI did at the Olota of Ota palace.<\/div>\n
Speaking on behalf of the institute, Dr. C.C. Osadebe, stated that the visit was with due authorization of the Director-General\/Chief Executive Officer of NBRRI, Engr. Prof. Samson Duna who has given them the mandate to meet with the chairman and seek for approval of areas, where NBRRI bricks will be used for the construction of three bus stops in the local government. He then presented the letter from the DG\/CEO to the chairman.<\/div>\n

Engr. Dr. Friday. Apeh equally responded to the chairman, that if they want NBRRI to be fully involved in using her technology in the local government, they should tell their representatives, representing the local government at the Federal Legislature, to include such projects they desire in the constituency projects and passed them through NBRRI; this he stated will ease the process and such project will be captured in the budget.<\/div>\n

Speaking further, Dr. Apeh explained that NBRRI research on local contents for building and road constructions tend to reduce the cost of construction by 20 to 30 percent.<\/div>\n
Also in response, the Director of Road and Housing in the local government added that local government is the closest organ of the government to the people and that NBRRI should update the Road and Housing Department of the local government time to time on their research findings, probably on quarterly basis, so that they can come in where necessary and put it into action.<\/div>\n
The secretary to the local government on behalf of the chairman and the local government, appreciated NBRRI and said that he believes that this visit will yield good results.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
