{"id":9454,"date":"2023-02-14T20:38:56","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T20:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nbrri.gov.ng\/new\/?p=9454"},"modified":"2023-03-09T20:45:05","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T20:45:05","slug":"boosting-the-countrys-economy-through-effective-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nbrri.gov.ng\/new\/boosting-the-countrys-economy-through-effective-collaboration\/","title":{"rendered":"BOOSTING THE COUNTRY\u2019S ECONOMY THROUGH EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">With the vision to evolve through new technologies, comprehensive and integrated approach in capacity building and investment promotion, which is set at a goal to foster application for environment-friendly and energy-efficient innovation of construction materials, manufacturing technologies that are cost-effective in the built and road construction environment in nurturing the emergence of vibrant knowledge and highly competitive indigenous constructions companies which will be of a great value to the nation in area of wealth creation and poverty reduction in the country, the <em><strong>Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute<\/strong> <\/em>(NBRRI) welcomes collaboration ideas with<em> Ota PARAPO Chambers of Commerce<\/em>. In light of this, the institute received the delegates of Ota PARAPO Chambers of Commerce, Ota chapter at her National Laboratory Complex (NLC) Ota on Thursday 9th February 2023.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking on behalf of the delegations\/head of the delegates, Dr. Kayode Bowale, the president, Ota PARAPO Chambers of Commerce expressed appreciation for the amazing reception given to them by the Institute. He stated that they were motivated to seek collaboration with NBRRI after seeing all the positive R&amp;Ds by the institute and reading some progressive reports via NBRRI Newsletter about the institute. He then stated that the main coverage area for the collaboration with the institute shall be in the areas of capacity building, road construction and other research discoveries that can be useful and beneficial to both parties and the nation at large.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While welcoming the delegates, the DG\/CEO of NBRRI Engr. Prof. Samson Duna who was ably represented by the coordinator of NLC, Ota\/Director, Road Research Department, <em><strong>Dr. Chuka Charles Osadebe<\/strong><\/em> appreciated the initiative as he also briefed the delegates on the establishments, growth and functions of NBRRI. While speaking on the idea of collaboration and partnership, he instructed the team to pen down all their ideas and reasons for the collaboration which will be communicated to communicate to the Director-General for further actions.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Addressing the delegations on NBRRI R&amp;Ds, Dr. Friday Apeh and Dr. Sulymon Nureini explained in details the functions and benefits of some NBRRI\u2019s fabricated machines and some research findings and ongoing ones to the delegates.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Appreciating the outcome of the visit, Elder Olarewaju Ogunseye, the third vice President of the chamber thanked the DG\/CEO and management for the acceptance and given them the required information about the institute and way forward toward the success of the proposed collaboration.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the vision to evolve through new technologies, comprehensive and integrated approach in capacity building and investment promotion, which is set at a goal to foster application for environment-friendly and &hellip;
