Chief Oladele Okeya hails from Emure-Ekiti, in Emure Local Government area of Ekiti state. He is a man of vast experience in both the private and public sector. He worked as a Planning Officer with the Ministry of Finance and Economic planning, Sokoto; Planning and Budget officer; Expenditure control and foreign exchange officer as well as Finance officer all with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
In the Private Sector, he was with Sambaba & Paddle Group Limited, Kano as Executive Director; Intek Limited, Kano as Executive Director. After these, he returned back to the Public sector under the Ekiti state Government. Here he was Chairman, Contracts Review Committee in 2003; Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Transport in Ekiti State from 2003-2005. Then was appointed as Special Adviser to the Government on Environment from 2005 – 2006.

Chief Okeya was a member, Ekiti state Tender Board from 2003 –  2005; member Committee for Development Target, Ekiti State in 2003. A member of Ekiti state Agricultural development Program Executive Committee (ADPEC) from 2003-2005. A member of the monitoring Team, Federal Government Operation 500 Roads Program in Ekiti State from 2004-2005 under the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). A member of Ekiti State Roads coordinating Board from 2004-2005. Member planning and implementation committee for the College of Medicine, University of Ado-Ekiti in 2004. Also, a member, Project Committee for the visit of Mr. President to Ekiti State in 2005.
Chief Dele Okeya is the Chairman, Prime Technology Limited; Director Intercontinental Technical and Management Co. Limited; Director Weston Petrogas Limited; Director, Healthscope Limited; Director, Telephone Technology Limited; and Director, Laconi Ventures Limited.

Chief Dele Okeya has bagged several honors and awards such as: Award of Excellence from Emure-Ekiti community, 2003; Justice of Peace (JP) in December 2004; certificate of Honour and Recognition in 2004 for Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC); Certificate of Merit as an Execellent Leader in 2004/2005 for National Association of Emure-Ekiti students; Ambassador of Ekiti Youth in 2005 from Grand coalition of Ekiti Youth; one of 50 most Eminent Influential Democrats in Nigeria in 2005 for Nigerian Tribune; commission of the year Award, 2004 by Civic Enlightenment Organization of Nigeria; Nominated Man of the Year, 2004 by American Biographical Institute; Nominated Certified Distinguished Administrator, 2004 by Leadership Trust Foundation; Nominated for Development in Nigeria Merit Award 2006 by People, State and Resources (PSR); Merit of Excellence for Distinguished  Achievers Award in 2006 by Glamour News Magazine.
He is happily married with children.
