The Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NBRRI, Prof. Samson Duna alongside his viable management staff joyfully received the National President/CEO of RITVALUE CONSULTANTS, Dr. Taofiq Raimi and his team on Tuesday 1st of June, 2021 at the Institute’s Headquarters, Abuja.
Before explaining the purpose of the visit, Dr. Taofiq stated that RITVALUE CONSULTANTS (referred to as RVC) is aimed at promoting Construction, Real Estate and Infrastructure Business Research and Practice in Nigeria. In other words, RITVALUE CONSULTANTS is not only concerned about Practice but also Research component of the industry. This he said pioneered the interest of visiting NBRRI, a leader Research Institute in the country. He explained that the achievements of NBRRI as an Agency in Nigeria as it relates to R&Ds in areas of local contents and fabrications of machines for the production of building materials is ringing the positive bell in the ears of practitioners in the built industry and Real Estates especially. He went further to elaborate the four-point agender of their visits which are;
- Presentation of the Proceedings from the just concluded Real Estate Housing International Conference they organized.
- Presentation of the Communiqué from the just concluded Real Estate Housing International Conference.
- Presentation of award of recognition to NBRRI for the great job the Institute has done so far in area of R&Ds by promoting local content.
- To appeal for collaboration between NBRRI and RITVALUE CONSULTANTS mainly in areas of commercialization and promotion of NBRRI’s Technologies.
In his remark, the DG/CEO of NBRRI, Prof. Samson Duna expressed gratitude for the visit as he stated that the visit is timely and commendable. He went further to elaborately explained some areas of R&Ds NBRRI has carried out successfully and research works that are ongoing.
Further, on behalf of NBRRI, he appreciated RITVALUE CONSULTANTS for the awards presented to NBRRI and for recognizing the contributions of the Institute to the built industry.
Finally, the idea for the collaboration was accepted as the DG/CEO directed the Head, Consultancy and Extension Services of NBRRI, Chief Daniel Makava to meet with the leaders of RITVALUE CONSULTANTS and come up with MoU and form a committee that will involve staff from both organizations to work on a better collaboration.
