The Director-General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute Prof. Samson Duna, with a team of Staff, is in Lagos to inspect constituency projects being handled by NBRRI. The projects are initiated by the Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon.Babajimi Benson.
The projects include Blocks of classrooms in different primary schools as well as roads all within Ikorodu. Among the schools visited by the DG and his team are: Ajagunro Primary School, Ipakodo Primary School, Methodist Primary School and Omolaiye Community School all in Ikorodu. In all the projects inspected, the DG/CEO NBRRI, Prof Samson Duna expressed satisfaction with the level of work done. He said with the level of work that he has seen, the projects will be ready for commissioning by March 2021. He however pointed some little areas that need to be tackled before handing over the facilities to the schools for use.
Responding, the Head teachers of the schools were the projects were sited thanked the Federal Government, NBRRI and Hon. Jimi Benson for the facilities adding that it will make teaching conducive for both the pupils and staff. They however requested for the construction of toilets in the schools as well as burglary proof for the windows. Also Inspected is a road construction at Egbobo in Ikorodu.
