“NBRRI is the most productive and performing agency amongst all agencies in the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation” Senator Dr. (Mrs.) Uche Lilian Ekwunife, Chairperson Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation expressed joy and made the above statement when she visited NBRRI’s Headquarters, Abuja along side Senator Mohammed Kola Balogun on Tuesday, 24th August, 2021.
Senator Uche Ekwunife who is representing Anambra Central Senatorial District was accompanied by Senator Mohammed Kola Balogun who is representing Oyo South Senatorial District were in NBRRI as part of their official tours to familiarize with the Institute and encourage the Staff of the Institute to put work first for the economic growth of the country.
The Senators who were warmly received by the DG/CEO of NBRRI, Prof. Samson Duna were led round the facilities of the Institute for inspection and demonstration of the various machines. She encouraged the Institute not to relent in its efforts in the fight for promoting the use of local contents in construction sector. She also promised to assist in what ever capacity she could to see that NBRRI’s ultimate goal is achieved for the betterment of the country.
Delivery his welcome address, Prof. Samson Duna appreciated the Senators for the visit to NBRRI. He also expressed joy in the role plaid by the Senators and committee in assisting and facilitating NBRRI’s Bill to pass its second reading at the National Assembly.
While explaining some recent achievements of NBRRI, the DG/CEO stated that NBRRI’s Artisan Training Guides’ Manual has been adopted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as its curriculum manual for Technical Schools in the country.
Finally, he appreciated all Staff of NBRRI for their dedication to duty which is the brain behind the huge success the Institute has recorded and is recording in the country.
